how do i secretly see a therapist?
i think i have social anxiety disorder; i get nervous easily and i over analyse situations of the simplest matter. i have looked at it on google and my symptoms are very similar to what wikipedia says.
i am 16 male and live with my mum. how can i see a therapist and not tell her or let her find out?
also do i have to pay to to see one, or can my doctor give me a pass to see a NHS therapist?

I couldn’t bare the thought of my mam knowing I was seeing a therapist about a suspected mental issue, so I know what you mean.
Your only 16, so it will be free, just go to your GP and tell him/her that you want to see a therapist, also specify that you don’t want your mam to know, it’s (as far as know) illegal for them to do otherwise, it’s called doctor-patient confidentiality.
