speech anxiety treatment
aspergers treatment, any advice?
im currently 12 and i have aspergers syndrome, i had speech and language therapy for 3 years and i am going to see a psychologist right now (but for a totally different reason, car crash). i have never been put on medication. should i continue to see a psychologist or should i see a occupational therapist. i have high anxiety and sensory issues, i don’t like social situations to the point i avoid them if possible. should i try medication or therapy or a psychologist?? or a combination of some, and if medicine, can you tell me which ones would benefit me.
You could try Chlorpromazine, it is approved for use in children who are autistic, I was diagnosed with aspergers in 2007 and it has really helped me, I sleep better and no longer have anxiety.
Start with 25mg at 6pm, you will need to see a psychiatrist to get it as you are under 18, it does cause side effects in 60% of people who try it, discontinue if you get side effects as they only get worse and can be serious if you stay on the drug, lots of children with aspergers take Risperidone it has less side effect but it does not help anxiety much.
