social anxiety techniques

What should I do to lower my anxiety in this situation?
I am fifteen and I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and also Social Anxiety. I have a very close friend who sleeps over more than once a week, but I rarely sleep over her house. Tomorrow I am going to sleepover her house which makes me a little nervous, but what makes me even more nervous is eating dinner with the family. I get so nervous that I can’t eat. I have gotten better with it but last time I was there it was worse and I ate about two bites. I was too nauseous and dizzy to eat. I am afraid this will happen again and so I am looking for some coping techniques for while I am having an anxiety attack. Thank you.
I think you should tell your close friend about your disorder if you have not already. You should maybe tell his or her family as well. If your friend is as close as you say…he or she as well as the family will be more than happy to help you. It’s hard to let it out at first but once you realize what’s going on everyone at the dinner table would feel comfortable…especially you.
