anxiety numbness in legs

I need help on my anxiety?

I have taken Paxil for four years now after having an aweful panic attack at the age of 21. It has worked wonders for me. I went down to 10 mg back in August and it seems anxiety kinda comes and goes now. But the last two weeks it seems as if the anxiety has constantly stayed with me. Numbness and tingling in my legs and arms, worrying thoughts, chest tightness, headache, stomach ache. Is it possible to get my doctor to up my dosage back to 20 mg and see if that works better again? Any other suggestions? I do know to help the thoughts you have to replace them with positive thoughts which is hard. Please help?

I suffer from Anxiety and have for the past 20 years. Numerous times my doctor has lowered my medication dose in the hopes that I can get off of it, but no luck. Currently I’m on Effexor and have been for 3 years. She said that for some people they have it their whole life and others are able to stop their medication and are ok. You may want to go back to the effective dose, but also consider seeing a psychologist in an effort to change any behavior (replacing your thoughts) that might be causing your attacks.
